Access Agreements Higher Education

The Fair Access Office (OFFA) identified the breach by monitoring the 2016-17 access agreements. The Higher Education and Research Act 2017 requires all higher education providers in England above the basic fee ceiling, an approved access and participation plan or an access agreement from the Office for Students (OfS). This requirement is part of the legal framework of the FSOs and sets out our commitment to increasing participation and equal opportunities throughout the life cycle of students. Currently, no minor violations of the Access Agreement are reported. Students are subject to the latest access and participation plan or access agreement existing at the time of entry into the study. The agreement will apply to them throughout their studies, even if the university introduces new access and participation plans in the following years.
